Pacific Telecommunications Council
We recently launched a spiffy new website for the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) that’s cool to look at and super easy to use. We improved the graphics, simplified the content structure and page layouts to be more inviting and less confusing for visitors and made the site mobile friendly by integrating a responsive design format that automatically optimizes pages for desktop computers as well as a variety of mobile devices.
Under the hood, we’ve eliminated a confusing mishmash of technologies previously used to manage separate parts of the website into one system with a single login that dramatically reduced the level of complexity and effort required to keep the site updated on a regular basis. We also made it a lot easier for PTC staff to manage online membership and conference registration information by enabling data from the website to automatically flow into an internal membership information management system. This substantially reduced the effort and errors that came with the previous manual re-entry process and improved PTC’s responsiveness to new members and conference attendees.
Now there’s a lot less stuff that PTC has to worry about when it comes to their website. And that’s a beautiful thing.
PTC is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organization that facilitates the exchange of ideas and commerce among professionals in the telecommunications and information and communication technology industries with interests in the Asia-Pacific Region.
