Hawaii Health Data Warehouse
The Hawaii Health Data Warehouse standardizes and manages Hawaii’s health data. Users access this data to help move Hawaii and its people towards local and national health goals.
HHDW’s website is a central location for users to access data on many health topics. However, the old site was lacking in several areas. Users had issues with navigation, search results were less than satisfactory, and reporting was static and cumbersome to update. What HHDW needed was a site that was scalable, sustainable, flexible, and easy to support. They also wanted integration with the IBIS-PH data visualization system to provide dynamic healthcare analytics backed by a clean design that made finding relevant information easy and intuitive for users.
RevaComm found that the following features would help HHDW with their challenges:
- A simple, intuitive user experience
- A responsive, mobile-first site design
- Directed search and instructions on how to use IBIS-PH
RevaComm has worked to expand the new website for broader use including students, health associations, chambers of commerce, tourism and government workers - Anyone looking to identify and understand health indicators in our community. The new site provides health data consumers with tools and resources to support health improvements in Hawaii.
HHDW.org hosts a wealth of data, trends and demographics about Hawaii’s four counties. With 300+ health indicators and over 600 data reports, the site is a comprehensive collection of Hawaii’s health data. Users can generate custom reports that offer answers and insights to our community health and quality of life issues.
While communities and researchers have been able to access data from various sources in the past, the new HHDW.org transforms data into useful information that identifies health concerns in communities.
